The Paper Shelter DT Call Entry

Good evening folks!

I absolutely love the wonderful images from The Paper Shelter.  Those fabulous people have got a DT call competition happening at the moment – the closing date is Tuesday 24 January and all the details can be found here.

I thought I would give it a go – I’ve never been on a Design Team before and only been blogging for a short time but if you don’t go for it you’ll never know!  I’ve used the Super Pepe L’Souris image coloured using my Spectrum Noir pens (I find I get better results with these pens than I did with the Promarkers)

My background was created in CraftArtist software using elements from the very talented Mary Fran over at Nitwit Collections.  The kit I used is Super Stuey FQB which is amazing! I’d made the backing some time ago and was just trying to find the perfect image to pair up with it! This is my entry for the DT Call for The Paper Shelter.

And here’s a close-up of Pepe

Wish me luck!

Best wishes

Bad Blogger . . . Must Try Harder

Good evening!

I hope you’re all ok?

I’m so bad – I had such plans to regularly post here – my creations and just general stuff but I have failed! Life has just got in the way! I know it may be a little late to be making New Year’s resolutions. . . (well, it’s still January – that’s my reasoning anyway!) but I am going to make it my resolution to be better at posting.

It’s been so windy here in Nottingham today – far too windy to do anything other than stay indoors and craft . . . which is exactly what I have done today!! I’ve been colouring in some digi images I’d printed out a while ago using my Spectrum Noirpens.

Here’s one of the images I’ve coloured this afternoon.  I just love using my species they are fab & I find I get really great results with blending.

This one of the gorgeous images from the very talented Krista Smith over at Saturated Canary.  This one is called Pink Punkette.  I’ve coloured with my Species and I’m really pleased with the results.  I just need to make a card base for this.

Have a good evening

Hugs, Sarah x

I’ve been published!

Evening everyone!

I got my priorities right last night – in from work, cup of hot chocolate and  check the Pink Petticoat blog.  I was delighted to see my card was showcased last night!! I am officially a runner-up – which is fine by me!

I had such fun taking part and have been overwhelmed by the lovely comments I have received about my card.  I would love to hear what you think?

Thanks for stopping by.

I’m so excited!!!

Afternoon everyone

I was surfing through blogland this morning and was very very excited by what I read here.  The very talented Liz Armstrong owner of Pink Petticoat ran a card competition a few weeks ago.  Check out the Pink Petticoat blog all this week as Liz will reveal a new finalist each and every day until the winner is announced on Sunday.  The very exciting news is that my entry is featured in the photograph Liz has kindly posted for this announcement which means I am one of the finalists!!

I will let you know when my card is featured on Liz’s blog.

I can’t believe it – I was so thrilled to see a glimpse of my work!!

Will be back later.

Thanks for stopping by

Sarah xx

I’ve Moved

Morning all

I’ve moved over to WordPress due to problems with Blogger.

Anyhoos . . . we’re enjoying a lovely morning so far here in Nottingham . . . have got the first batch of Christmas cards completed.  Will post photos later.  It has seemed to take me ages to get going with cards this year – I have temporarily found my crafting mojo but seem to have put it down somewhere again!! I’m sure it will return once more!!

Hope you all enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Take care

Sarah
